Watching out for the shadow
Of an airborne cat

On a Rock Forlorn

At high tide two lizards peer
Waiting for Noah

Arms across the pond
Rah-rah skirted hyacinths
Dipping hairy feet

Cast off by my jailer Sky
Unseal Earth for me

Stretching For the Moon

Stretching for the moon
Hungry for pie and deceived
Insufficient arm

                    *

Twitch your nose no more
Relax Let me doff your coat
Angora rabbit

Southern Snow ***

In southern fields snow
From afar turns out to be
Cotton blooms to spin

Silk ***

Promise of luster
In China, mulberry leaves
Munched by eager worms

Ice ***

Ice hangs from the trees
On precarious crystal threads
Suspended spindles

                         *

Summer Blooms ***

Blooms are teasing me
Conjuring through the window
Sweet dreams of dyeing

                         *

Tale ***

My tale is of wool
Of shepherds tromping through snow
To my spinning wheel

                         *
